Learn the Signs

What is domestic abuse?

Any behavior that scares, intimidates, humiliates, isolates, and controls another person.

Not all abuse is physical.  No abuse is OKAY!!!

Abuse can include emotional, economic, sexual, using children, threats, intimidation, isolation and a variety of other behaviors used to maintain fear, intimidation and power.

Domestic abuse occurs regardless of age, race, ethnicity, mental or physical ability, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation/identity or religious background.

Domestic abuse is rarely an isolated incident. Several indicators may point toward abuse.
